ABOUT THE FARM

Flor de Café Women Producers Association was founded in April 2023 with the goal of highlighting the significant role that women play in the production of specialty coffee. The idea of establishing a group of female coffee producers came from a coffee importer in the U.S., and Flor de Café was born! An Acevedo-based association, Flor de Café has received resounding positive support from their community. They live by the slogan: “Like coffee’s bloom, women too deserve to truly thrive.”

This coffee is produced by women who, with dedication and passion, are able to craft the finest coffee, and their commitment shines through every cup. Flor de Café utilizes a uniform, well-managed picking process to ensure a consistent quality of their coffee beans. Presently, they utilize bags for the fermentation process to maintain better control and achieve more precise results in their production. As small-scale producers, they carry out the coffee washing, processing, and drying on their own farms. Flor de Café takes a meticulous approach with each step of their production to make sure that their coffee retains its unique flavor profile and quality.
